The Game

You just opened your sandwich restaurant and the first customers are arriving.

They will ask you to make them a sandwich, sometimes giving you precise indications, some other times letting you use your creativity to invent a new sandwich for them.

Once you sell the sandwich to the customer your score and money will increase based on how good your sandwich was.

As your score increases, your level will increase too, and you will unlock new ingredients.

Your goal is to serve as many customers as you can!

A Sandwich!

  • Select an ingredient inside your sandwich with the mouse scroll wheel
  • Move the selected ingredient up and down in the sandwich by clicking the up and down arrow buttons
  • Remove the selected ingredient from your sandwich by clicking the cross button
  • Once you are ready, sell your sandwich to the customer by clicking the "SELL" button

Development Notes

This game is still a demo and the full game might change.

Here are the features I am currently working on:

  • More ingredients (It would be nice to add community ideas, so, if you want, suggest the ingredients you would like to be added)
  • A different ingredient division (Bakery Products, Meat, Vegetables, Dairy Products, Spices, Sweet, Others)
  • Sounds
  • Musics (thanks to my good friend!)
  • Deutsch translation (thanks to my good friend!)

While these are some of the ideas I would like to experiment with:

  • Some ingredients should not stay in the same sandwich with others, in customers orders (e.g.: toast + patty) *
  • Distinction between salty and sweet ingredients

* Note that you would still be able to mix the ingredients you want. It would just prevent the customers from asking those specific combinations of ingredients.

I loved this game! However I'd like more ingredients, levels or anything that improved the diversity a bit

Thanks, I'm super happy to hear this!

I'll surely add more ingredients and levels with the next update (by now you can already get to any level but the required score is an unpronounceable number :)) ).

If you have any advices about how to make the game more diverse you can write them here.

Community advices are precious!

Thanks for playing the game and for your nice feedback!

wow its amazing but repetitive and I don't understand "could you stack the ingredients in this order?"

so like a 7.5/10

(1 edit)

I know, it's repetitive but for the first release I just wanted to have the core game mechanics ready. I'll soon add more ingredients, so stay tuned with the devlogs!

Also, when the customer asks you to "stack the ingredients in this order" he means to make sure the sandwich is made exactly how he said (e.g.: "bun, lattuce, patty, bun" is different from "bun, patty, lattuce, bun" and so it's counted as an error).

Hope it is clear enough, and in case it's not, could you suggest a better translation?

Thanks a lot for playing the game and for leaving your feedback!

it's backwards! you gotta start from below to above. I got confused by this as well haha

Soooo, you guys mean it's not easy to understand?

Should I add a quick tutorial menu at the beginning of the game including some images or GIFs (seems complicated but I'm sure there's a way, tough it could be laggy on a web game)

it can be a bit confusing but once you understand it it kinda makes sense (because we start the sandwiches from the bottom as well), maybe you could include a small tip after the first levels

Oh, that's actually a good idea! I'm still not sure about how to implement it, but I'll surely do it soon.

Could it be good to show the tip right at the beginning rather than waiting for the next level?

That sounds like a good idea. It would be better to add that in bold in the tutorial so the player reads it. Also, the tutorial should be more... entertaining? Im not sure. But what I'm saying is that it's pretty boring. You could add some flashy animations to make it better. Im not sure.
